Before becoming a dive instructor I was a software engineer and finally a manager in California's Silicon Valley. It may sound like an odd career transition, but I've found it brings a special perspective to my teaching.
In addition to my technical background, I have diving experience all over the world. California, Mexico, Australia, Africa, Greece, Egypt, Indonesia, Truk, Palau, Micronesia, and Bikini Atoll, I've been diving in many peopleís dream destinations, and come across as knowledgeable and professional.
I keep my classes fun and entertaining while thoroughly covering all the material. While safety is always my first priority, I feel a close second is to make sure the students enjoy the course and continue diving.
A point of pride for me is the number of divemasters I have trained that have gone on to do their IDCs and become active PADI instructors. I am continually continuing my education, and aggressively adopt new PADI programs as they become available
Iím a 37-year-old native English speaker (American), I also speak decent Thai with basic reading and writing skills. Iíve lived in Thailand for more three years and am very comfortable with the people and culture.
